Family engagement

From the outset, Beech House encourages families to be involved in the care of their loved one. It is often families who provide the greatest insight into our residents past lives/likes/dislikes and of course it is family who our residents want around them.

Our visiting policy is designed to encourage families to stay connected and feel like Beech House is an extension of home, so it is very straightforward; you are welcome at any time.

The care provision will change over time, and we want families to be engaged at every stage. We encourage families to have regular reviews with the Beech House senior team and where appropriate our healthcare partners. Our personalised, digital care plans have the benefit of providing access to immediate, real-time information about each resident's daily care, health status and overall well-being and have a very useful calendar/appointment feature – so you will always be kept up to speed.

FAMILEO

Famileo is a personalised newspaper that is sent to your loved ones ‘post box’ here at Beech House. It is a simple way of keeping the entire family (near or far) connected to our residents and to both share and preserve those precious memories.

Beech House has subscribed to the service and therefore it is free to you!

Using the app/website (Beech House staff will walk you through the simple process) family and friends of all generations can independently share messages and photos in just a few clicks – and the resident receives their ‘copy’ of the family newspaper once a month.

"Super caring staff. Gives me reassurance that Dad is safe and receives kind quality care. Always provide timely updates and make time to speak to relatives and always a friendly welcome when visiting."

"Excellent care. It gives me peace of mind knowing I can put my mother in respite and know that she is looked after. In fact, she's spoilt when she goes in. Staff are amazing and very kind and thoughtful. Always things going on to entertain the residents. The two ladies I mainly deal with are always there to help and accommodate when they can. Overall, ten out of ten."
  • CAROLINE SAYS
"Nothing is too much trouble for the hard-working staff working there. I have absolutely no worries about my father's care, he is so well looked after, with understanding and compassion, but most of all he is very happy and at the end of the day that’s all I want for him. Thank you Beech House a well-deserved. 5 stars."
  • RAY SAYS
"My brother was given a place in Beech House Carehome Worksop following a spell in hospital where he was admitted after a fall at home. When I visited him in hospital, he was frail, miserable and had given up on life. I was away on holiday when he went to Beech House and on visiting him when I returned, I couldn't believe the difference. He is now very happy, well and eating everything - he's always been fussy but they've got him to try new things. Beech House has, undoubtedly, saved his life. Thank you."
  • A.S SAYS
"My mum was a resident here and always got great care and compassion. I got great joy joining in with many happy singing days and managed to get lots of videos of Mum singing and enjoying every moment, many thanks to all."
  • N.C SAYS
"My mother is a resident at Beech House Carehome Worksop Ltd and she has been staying there since March. The staff and management are friendly kind and welcoming. They make you feel comforted by the fact the residents are well looked after, treated with respect and have a safe and happy environment. We take my dad to visit regularly and the staff and management make him welcome. They keep me and our family informed of any issues or concerns about mum on a regular basis."
